After receiving a Golden Globe for her newest hit single 'Skyfall' from the blockbuster James Bond movie 'Skyfall' it has been confirmed that Adele will perform "Skyfall" At the 85th Annual Academy Awards on February 24th.

Adele has been largely absent from the public spotlight since she gave birth to her little boy last year. She commented on the announcement saying:
"It's an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again. It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once!"
Since 1981's 'For Your Eyes Only' Adele's Skyfall is the first bond song to be nominated for an Oscar.

In addition it has also been rumored, though not officially confirmed, that all six actors who've played Bond over the years : Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig  - will all appear together for the first time ever to commemorate the franchise's 50 years.
