"Zombieland" The TV Series? Alright.

Copyright Sony Pictures
If you were bummed that  Zombieland 2 will likely not happen then perhaps this will cheer you up. The director of Zombieland told Collider recently,
"I hate to do it, but I can say that there’s no immediate plans to make the movie.  There’s no script, really, so the likelihood of it happening is slim.  But I would not wanna put a nail in that coffin."
Just a few days ago casting information leaked regarding a small screen adaptation of the blockbuster movie Zombieland.  It would be a CBS series. Today it was revealed that there are indeed plans to go ahead with a Zombieland TV series; currently in development as an Amazon original series.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Zombieland starred Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin as a group of survivors trying to stay alive in the face of the zombie apocalypse.

Planned for 30-minute episodes, the "television" version of "Zombieland" returns the franchise to its original concept of an ongoing serialized comedy adventure.
